Happy Birthday to our C-litter! Hope you all got some extra good treats after a lovely romp in the forest. I have had the privilege to meet almost every single one of them during this year and they are all kind souls.

Also a big thank you to all owners for taking so good care of your babies, they all live lovely life as part of their families. I'm also extra grateful for the ones that have taken the time to do the hip and elbow ex-ray. This will help the breed in the long run and that's even if you won't breed from your dog.

Grattis till vår C-kull! Vi hoppas att ni alla nio får något extra gott efter dagens skogspromenad. Jag har haft den stora äran att få träffa nästan varenda en av valparna under detta året och de är alla verkligen snälla varelser.

Jag vill även passapå att tacka er alla ägare för att ni tar så bra hand om era fyrbenta och låter dem leva som en del i er familj.  Extra tacksam är jag att så många valt att genomföra höft- och armbågsröntgen. Detta kommer hjälpa rasen i långa loppet, och det även om just er hund inte går i avel.

Pea and Gunilla made their debut in Freestyle today and the got not only one but two great results! I also think Pea might be the first Irish water spaniel in Sweden to compete in freestyle here in Sweden.

Congrats Jocose Cut the Mustard "Pea" and Gunilla!

Pea och Gunilla debuterade i Freestyle idag och fick inte mindre än två (av två möjliga) uppflyttningspoäng! Jag tror också att Pea kan vara den första irländska vattenspanieln att tävla i freestyle i Sverige.

Looking back / Ser tillbaka

Summer is officially over since we now enter September. Our summer has been wonderful and the dogs have enjoyed lots of time in the forest and playing in the water. Unfortunately we couldn't dive from the dock this year since the stones under neat it had fallen out and there was a risk of hitting them when jumping. Maybe next year we can make time to fix it.

Sommaren är officiellt öer nu när vi trätt in i September. Vår sommar har varit underbar och hundarna har njutit av massor av tid i skogen och lek i vatten. Tyvärr blev det inget dykande från vår bryggai år eftersom brofundamentets stenar hade rasat ut och det fanns en risk för att stöta i dessa vid hopp. Kanske vi kan hitta tid nästa år för att fixa det.

R-CAC / R-Cert

Caroline and Jocose Captain Obvious "Otto" did an excellent job in the show ring this weekend, unfortunately they were placed as second best male so they have to continue their hunt for that last CAC.

Caroline och Jocose Captain Obvious "Otto" skötte sig exemplariskt i utställningsringen i helgen, tyvärr fick de se sig besegrade i bästa hanhundsringen och blev placerade som tvåa vilket leder till att jakten på det där sista åtråvärda certet fortsätter.

Finnish CAC / Finskt Cert

A couple of days before our summer vacation started I decided to enter Splinter to a show in Finland in August. I wasn't sure I was even going to the show and this morning when I woke up the rain was pouring down so I almost didn't want to go. In the end I was happy I did go since judge Leila Kärkäs, Finland liked Splinter and awarded her CAC and BOB!

Finland have a working test for IWS that they have to do before they can get the show champion title but with this CAC she now have the needed show merits. We'll see if I take the time to do the test in the future, now that both Splinter and Terra just need the working test to get their finnish show champion title.

Ett par dagar före vi ens gick på semester så beslutade jag mig för att anmäla Splinter till en utställning i Finland i augusti. Jag var inte säker på att jag i slutänden alls skulle åka och imorse när jag vakande och regnet öste ned så var det nästan så att jag kröp ned i sängen igen. I slutänden är jag dock glad att jag åkte eftersom domaren Leila Kärkäs, Finland gillade Splinter och gav henne både cert och BIR!

Finland har ett arbetstest som IWS måste göra innan de kan få ut sin finska utställningstitel men med detta cert så har hon de utställningsmeriter som behövs för utställningschampion. Får se om jag tar mig tiden att göra testet i framtiden ni när både Splinter och Terra bara behöver arbetstestet för att få ut den finska utställningstiteln.
