Vinstrik helg! / Successful weekend!

Alltså, vilken helg det har varit! Inte nog med att det gick riktigt bra i rasringen – mina fantastiska flickor lyckades dessutom placera sig i hela fyra av sex möjliga finaler. Jag svävar fortfarande på moln! Jag har visat fyra olika hundar under helgen, så det har minst sagt varit fullt upp.

Det har krävts fokus, planering och en hel del pälsjobb men det har gåt bra trots allt. Att få stå där med hundar jag är så stolt över och se dem prestera på topp, det är verkligen en känsla som inte går att jämföra med något annat. Stort tack till alla som hejat, hjälpt till bakom kulisserna och gratulerat. Nu laddar vi om för nästa äventyr!

What a weekend it’s been! Not only did things go really well in the breed ring – my amazing girls also managed to place in no less than four out of six possible finals. I’m still on cloud nine! I’ve shown four different dogs over the weekend, so it’s definitely been a busy one.

It’s taken focus, planning, and quite a bit of coat work, but everything came together in the end. Standing there with dogs I’m so proud of and seeing them perform at their best is truly a feeling like no other. A big thank you to everyone who cheered us on, helped behind the scenes, and sent congratulations. Now it’s time to recharge for the next adventure!

BIS!

I helgen var det dags för lite utställning igen, denna gång i Byske som är ca 30 minuter från vårt hem. Arrangör var SSRK och dagens rasdomare den kunniga Vidar Grundetjern från Norge. Förra helgens par bestående sv Joy och Splinter bröts upp när Splinter fick stanna hemma till förmån för lilla Jocose Splish Splash, Våfflan, som blivit 6 månader. Våfflan hade premiärtur på utställning och njöt av mängden köttbullar som utdelades av både matte och främlingar innan hon gick in i ringen och blev BIR valp.

This weekend it was time for another dog show, this time in Byske, about 30 minutes from our home. The event was organized by SSRK (Swedish Spaniel and Retriever Club), and the breed judge for the day was the knowledgeable Vidar Grundetjern from Norway. Last weekend’s pair, Joy and Splinter, was split up as Splinter stayed home to make room for little Jocose Splish Splash—Våfflan—who just turned 6 months. Våfflan made her show debut and thoroughly enjoyed all the meatballs handed out by both her owner and strangers before stepping into the ring and being awarded BOB Puppy

SE U(u)CH NO UCH FIN UCH DKCH(u) CIE RoV-25 RLDN Stanegate Jump for Joy, ”Joy”,  fick sitt BIR och visade sig sedan upp sig ända till BIS 1 jakt för domare Patric Ragnarsson och BIS 2 för Vidar i finalringen! Så kul att min vackra stjärna uppskattades så högt, tack!

SE U(u)CH NO UCH FIN UCH DKCH(u) CIE RoV-25 RLDN Stanegate Jump for Joy – Joy – was awarded BOB and then went on to show herself all the way to BIS 1 Working under judge Patric Ragnarsson and BIS 2 under Vidar in the final ring! So much fun that my beautiful star was appreciated so highly – thank you!

Tre dagar i Roskilde – vilken fantastisk helg!
Efter en ”liten” bilresa på 317 mil kommer vi hem med 3 nya championtitlar (två stycken dansk utställningschampion och en NORDIC champion) och 2 vinnartitlar (Roskildevinnare-25 och Viking Vinnare-25) att lägga till i samlingen. En oförglömlig upplevelse – och vi funderar redan på nästa resa!

Three days in Roskilde – what a fantastic weekend!
After a “little” road trip of 3,170 km, we’re coming home with 3 brand new champion titles (two Danish show champions and a NORDIC champion) and 2 winner titles (Roskilde Winner-25 and Viking Winner-25) to add to the list. Truly an unforgettable adventure – and we’re already thinking about the next trip!

Correct scissor bite, well-set drop-shaped ears, muscular long neck, well-laid-back shoulder and correct upper arm. Good depth and length of ribcage with correct barrel shape. Muscular, short loin, well-set tail, well-angulated and muscular hindquarters. Parallel movement, slightly rounded when viewed from the side. Correct small curls, though could be slightly more oily. Well presented with excellent temperament.”

Jump for Joy – again!

I had planned to take a longer break from showing after Överkalix where Joy was BIG 2, but plans is not plans if you can’t change them. So I entered Joy to the Swedish spaniel and retriever club show in Vännäs and she once again showed like a star!

Min plan var att ta ett längre uppehåll från utställnignsringen efter Överkalix när Joy blev BIG2, men planer är inte planer om de inte går att ändra på. Så därför anmäålde jag henne till SSRK i Vännäs där hon igen visade vilken stjärna hon är!

JUMP FOR JOY!

This past weekend our lovely Joy was given the blue ribbon that gave her Best in Group 2 on the big show in Överkalix, Sweden. The rain was pouring down in the breed ring and I could barely see where I was going but Matti Tuominen who was our judge for the day saw us and awarded Joy the BOB and then BIG 2 in the main ring. I’m so happy! Don’t really know what to say or write, so I let the pictures speak.

Förra helgen i Överkalix så fick vår vackra Joy den blå rosetten som tilldelas andra placeringen i gruppen. Regnet öste ned i rasringen och jag kunde knappt se var jag sprang men Joy satte alla tassar rätt och vår doamre för dagen, Matti Tuominen, såg vad hon gick för och gav henne därmed BIR följt av BIG 2 i stora ringen. Jag är så glad! Vet inte riktigt vad jag ska skriva så jag låter bilderna tala.

In the beginning of August there was a 3 days of show in Fauske, that is just a couple of hours from our home. I usually just enter to the ones that have big* CAC but this time I decided to enter all 3 days and to bring both Joy and Riva. This was a really good decision and we had 3 wonderful days and nice results.

Both girls behaved excellent, but I was extra impressed with Riva. She really had a blast, she just loves people and she took all the chances she could get to snuggle up with someone or try to jump in to their lap. Not even the judges was spared. The temperament on this girl is just fantastic!

*Norway have small and big CAC, you can only get your champion title if you have at least one big CAC, and it’s also just one big CAC that is needed to get the Norwegian champion title of your dog is already show champion in another country.

I början av augusti så var där 3 utställningar i Fauske som bara ligger några timmar hemifrån. Jag brukar bara anmäla till de utställningar i Norge som erbjuder storcert men denna gång så beslutade jag för att anmäla till alla 3 dagarna och då anmäla både Joy och Riva. Det skulle visa sig vara ett bra drag då vi hade underbara dagar och väldigt fina resultat.

Båda flickorna skötte sig utmärkt men jag måste erkänna att jag vara extra imponerad med Riva. Hon hade verkligen superroligt, eftersom hon älskar människor så tog hon alla chanser hon kunde att mysa med närmaste som accepterade lite tät kontakt med en IWS och försökte hoppa upp på de som kom nog nära. Inte ens domarna kom undan. Temperamentet på denna hund är helt fantastiskt!temperament on this girl is just fantastic!

*Norge har små och stora cert, du kan bara få campionattiteln genom att erhållit minst ett stort cert, och om hunden redan är utställningschampion i ett annat land så är det endast ett stort norskt cert som behövs för att få ut den norska championtiteln.

SE U(u)CH NO UCH FIN UCH RLD N Stanegate Jump for Joy

In Sweden we need 3 results over 70p to get the first title in rallyobedience, so when Joy today got 93p (out of 100p possible) she got the title RLD N (rally obedience Diploma Novice). As you might remember she got 2 qualifying results a couple of weeks ago. To top this off she got a 3 placement and 96p on the second course as a nice bonus. What a dog she is!

Här i Sverigebehöver man 3 resultat över 70p för att få den första titeln i rallylydnad, så när Joy idag fick 93p (av 100möjliga) så fick hon även rätten att lägga till RLD N till sitt namn (Rallylydnadsdiplom Nybörjare). Som du kanske minns fick hon ju 2 kvalificerade resultat för några veckor i jakten på titeln. För att sedan avsluta dagen lite trevligt slog hon till med bronsplats på pallen och 96p på den andra banan som vi körde. Vilken hund hon är!

Another Nordic CAC and BOB with super critique for SE U(u)CH FIN UCH NO UCH Stanegate Jump for Joy! I was working as a ring steward so my friend was kind and showed her for me. In the breed ring it was still just windy, but for the finals, when I was done working, the rain was pouring down sideways. Proper IWS weather! Unfortunately the Portuguese group judge preferred other dogs  but I got some lovely, wet, pictures.

”Excellent type and as a whole. Well shaped head, correct bite. good eye color. Strong back, well-laid shoulder, lovely fore chest, good length of chest. normal angulation. Suitable bone structure and strong paws. Excellent coat quality, Deep color. Moves with good stride, freely and with just enough push. Nice dog.”

Ytterligare ett Nordic cert och BIR för SE U(u)CH FIN UCH NO UCH Stanegate Jump for Joy, dessutom med superkritik! Jag jobbade som ringsekreterare så min vän var snäll och visade Joy åt mig. I rasringen så var det bara blåsig men när det var dags för finalringen, när jag hade jobbat som ringsekreterare och istället skulle fotografera, så öste regnet ned sidlänges. Riktigt IWS väder! Tyvärr såg inte den portugesiska domaren kvaliteten han hade framförsig så han tog fram andra hundar men jag fick några bra bilder.

BOB / BIR

En sväng till Boden på Internationell utställning och  SEU (u) CH FIN UCH NO UCH Stanegate Jump For Joy kan lägga ytterligare ett BIR till sin samling. Dessutom blev det ett till CACIB så nu borde det gå att ansöka om den internationella titeln med arbetsmerit, CIB.

Kul att få träffa andra IWS älskare, för idag var vi faktiskt två i ringen. Förutom Joy var där en hane från Finland.

Today we visited the international show in Boden, Sweden just an hours drive from home. SEU (u) CH FIN UCH NO UCH Stanegate Jump For Joy was awarded the BOB rosette and on top of this she also got another CACIB so now we should be able to apply for the international title with work merit, CIB.

Today there was a male from Finland joining in on the fun, always nice to meet other IWS lovers!
