N UCH, SE U(u)CH, FIN UCH!

After a long weekend in Tromsö that is situated in the Northern part of Norway we can announce that Stanegate Jump For Joy is now Norwegian show champion, Swedish show champion and Finnish show champion!
”2.5 years, excellent type, size and proportions, good width in the skull, could have had a little more stop, sufficient power in the muzzle, still bright eyes, excellent neck, straight tight back, normal angulation front and back, still a little scarce forechest, and will still spend a lot of time developing full volume in the ribcage, good width across the chest, correct bone structure, large paws, tight behind, moves with wonderful power and drive seen from the side, plenty of dense curls on body and legs, wonderful top knot, wonderful humor and attitude, a very appealing and typical water spaniel.”

Judge was Stig Arne Kjellevold who also chares his every day life with an IWS, something that makes this win a bit extra special. After judging when we took photos he said that the part with light eyes was a mistake, because when she was turned from the sun he realized that she have a nice dark eye. Unfortunately the critic was already done so no possibility to change that. Well we where both happy with Joy so let’s just leave it with that.

Fauske international show / Fauske internationellutställning

A day trip to Fauske, Norway gave Stanegate Jump for Joy ”Joy” BOB, her first Norwegian CAC another CACIB and also the jubilee CAC that the Norwegian Kennel club is giving out this year when they are celebrating 125 years. Judge was Vanja Sliwa, Norway that dictated a critique full of breed characteristics. I add the free translation here below for you that can’t understand norwegian.

”2,5 years old. Excellent type, well balanced with excellent expression of sex. Powerful head with good width. Could wish for a little more defined stop. Good strength in muzzle. Dark eyes with an intelligent expression. Long, well placed ears. Excellent neck and topline. Low placed tail. Lovely, well defined forchest. Ribs with good depth, could wish for a little more barrel shape. Well angulated behind with low hooks. Nice bone structure and big paws. Tight, nice curls. Excellent color. Moves with classic, rolling motions. Well presented”
