CHAMPION!

Posted on by

    • SE U(u)CH Jocose Pleasure You Can’t Measure
  • Pax – Cert, BIR, BIS 4 jaktklass

Dag 2 – Domare Jeanette Balkan

  • Pax – Cert, CACIB, BIR

Sundsvall turned out to be our last show weekend of the year, and what a way to finish!

Jocose Pleasure You Can’t Measure ”Vega” joined us with her wonderful owners and took home the CAC and BOS, with Jocose Swish Swosh ”Pax” winning BOB. This means we have a brand new Swedish Show Champion! To top off an already fantastic day, Pax also went on to win BIS 4 Working Class!

We had planned for two days of showing and managed to get no less than three judge changes before the organisers had even sent out all the paperwork! Both Vega and Pax were entered for both days, but since Vega had already secured her champion title on Saturday, we decided to celebrate and let her enjoy a well-deserved day off on Sunday.

Pax kept the Jocose flag flying high, adding a few more rosettes to his collection on Sunday! With a few snowflakes starting to fall, we decided to skip the finals and head home while there was still daylight, especially since we were still driving on summer tyres…

Day 1 – Judge Arvid Göransson

  • Vega – CAC, Swedish Show Champion, BOS
    • SE U(u)CH Jocose Pleasure You Can’t Measure
  • Pax – CAC, BOB, BIS 4 Working Class

Day 2 – Judge Jeanette Balkan

  • Pax – CAC, CACIB, BOB

A big thank you for a lovely weekend and wonderful company!

Dag 1 – Domare Rony Doedijns

  • Pax – Litet cert, BIM
  • Joy – BIR, BIS 1 jaktklass och BIS 2

Dag 2 – Domare Kim Bay

  • Pax – Stort cert, CACIB, BIM
  • Joy – CACIB, BIR

Dag 3 – Domare Michael Gruber

  • Pax – Nordic cert, BIR

What better way to end our holiday than with three days of dog shows! We kicked things off with a really lovely show organised by the Norwegian Spaniel Club, with a great atmosphere and lots of lovely prizes. The following two days were spent at a Nordic and an International show. I had Jocose Swish Swosh ”Pax” and Stanegate Jump for Joy ”Joy” with me, and I couldn’t be happier with how they both did! Joy was mostly along for the fun and was only shown on the first two days, while Pax got to strut his stuff all three days.

Day 1 – Judge Rony Doedijns

  • Pax – CAC (minor), BOS
  • Joy – BOB, BIS 1 Working Class and BIS 2

Day 2 – Judge Kim Bay

  • Pax – CAC (major), CACIB, BOS
  • Joy – CACIB, BOB

Day 3 – Judge Michael Gruber

  • Pax – Nordic CAC, BOB

Vinstrik helg! / Successful weekend!

What a weekend it’s been! Not only did things go really well in the breed ring – my amazing girls also managed to place in no less than four out of six possible finals. I’m still on cloud nine! I’ve shown four different dogs over the weekend, so it’s definitely been a busy one.

It’s taken focus, planning, and quite a bit of coat work, but everything came together in the end. Standing there with dogs I’m so proud of and seeing them perform at their best is truly a feeling like no other. A big thank you to everyone who cheered us on, helped behind the scenes, and sent congratulations. Now it’s time to recharge for the next adventure!

Jump for Joy – again!

I had planned to take a longer break from showing after Överkalix where Joy was BIG 2, but plans is not plans if you can’t change them. So I entered Joy to the Swedish spaniel and retriever club show in Vännäs and she once again showed like a star!

Another BOB and then BIS 2 working, our beautiful girl!

JUMP FOR JOY!

This past weekend our lovely Joy was given the blue ribbon that gave her Best in Group 2 on the big show in Överkalix, Sweden. The rain was pouring down in the breed ring and I could barely see where I was going but Matti Tuominen who was our judge for the day saw us and awarded Joy the BOB and then BIG 2 in the main ring. I’m so happy! Don’t really know what to say or write, so I let the pictures speak.

Fauske, Norway/Norge x3

In the beginning of August there was a 3 days of show in Fauske, that is just a couple of hours from our home. I usually just enter to the ones that have big* CAC but this time I decided to enter all 3 days and to bring both Joy and Riva. This was a really good decision and we had 3 wonderful days and nice results.

SE U(u)CH NO UCH FIN UCH RLD N Stanegate Jump for Joy & Jocose Focus on the Good

Day 1: Spaniel specialty
Joy BB1, BOB, BIS 1 Working and BIS 3
Riva CK, BB2, (small) CAC, BIS2 junior
Judge: Lars Hjelmtvedt, Norway

Day 2: Nordic dog show
Joy BB1, Nordic CAC, BOB
Riva CK, BB2, (big) CAC, junior CAC, R-Nordic CAC, Nordic junior CAC
Judge: Christen Lang, Norway

Day 3: International dog show
Joy BB1, CACIB, BOB
Riva EX1
Judge: Espen Engh, Norway

Both girls behaved excellent, but I was extra impressed with Riva. She really had a blast, she just loves people and she took all the chances she could get to snuggle up with someone or try to jump in to their lap. Not even the judges was spared. The temperament on this girl is just fantastic!

*Norway have small and big CAC, you can only get your champion title if you have at least one big CAC, and it’s also just one big CAC that is needed to get the Norwegian champion title of your dog is already show champion in another country.

SE U(u)CH NO UCH FIN UCH RLD N Stanegate Jump for Joy & Jocose Focus on the Good

Dag 1: Spaniel special
Joy BT1, BIR, BIS 1 Jakt och BIS 3
Riva CK, BT2, (litet) cert, BIS2 junior
Domare: Lars Hjelmtvedt, Norge

Dag 2: Nordic dog show
Joy BT1, Nordic cert, BIR
Riva CK, BT2, (stort) cert, junior cert, R-Nordic cert, Nordic junior cert
Domare: Christen Lang, Norge

Dag 3: International dog show
Joy BT1, CACIB, BIR
Riva EX1
Domare: Espen Engh, Norge

Temperamentet på denna hund är helt fantastiskt!temperament on this girl is just fantastic!

Another successful day! / En till framgångsrik dag!

Another Nordic CAC and BOB with super critique for SE U(u)CH FIN UCH NO UCH Stanegate Jump for Joy! I was working as a ring steward so my friend was kind and showed her for me. In the breed ring it was still just windy, but for the finals, when I was done working, the rain was pouring down sideways. Proper IWS weather! Unfortunately the Portuguese group judge preferred other dogs  but I got some lovely, wet, pictures.

Breed Judge was Liz-beth C Liljeqvist
”Excellent type and as a whole. Well shaped head, correct bite. good eye color. Strong back, well-laid shoulder, lovely fore chest, good length of chest. normal angulation. Suitable bone structure and strong paws. Excellent coat quality, Deep color. Moves with good stride, freely and with just enough push. Nice dog.”

Trevlig hund”

Today we visited the international show in Boden, Sweden just an hours drive from home. SEU (u) CH FIN UCH NO UCH Stanegate Jump For Joy was awarded the BOB rosette and on top of this she also got another CACIB so now we should be able to apply for the international title with work merit, CIB.

Today there was a male from Finland joining in on the fun, always nice to meet other IWS lovers!

Super day!

We attended the club show in Solna where I had entered 3 off my girls, all behaving just brilliant and was great representatives for the breed. Our junior girl Jocose Focus on the Good “Riva” was best junior and ended the day as BIS 2 junior! CIE SE U(u)CH NO UCH SE W-19 SEW-22 Foulby Chip off the Block “Splinter” was second best bitch right after her daughter SE U(u)CH NO UCH FIN UCH Stanegate Jump for Joy “Joy” who won best of breed from working class. in the main ring Joy was then awarded the BIS 4 working!

BIS JUNIOR judge: mrs Margaret Woods
BIS WORKING judge: mrs Angela Hackett
Happy to be back home after 2400 km on the roads with 12 dogs. Some miss happening but we took care of it and it resulted in that me and my friend had 3 successful show days, first two days with her Siberian huskies and then this fabulous finishing day with my curly girls!
—————————————————————————————————————————————–
Junioren Jocose Focus on the Good “Riva” blev bästa junior och slutade dagen som BIS 2 junior! CIE SE U(u)CH NO UCH SEW-19 SEW-22 Foulby Chip off the Block “Splinter” blev andra bästa tik direkt efter sin dotter SE U(u)CH NO UCH FIN UCH Stanegate Jump for Joy “Joy” som blev bäst i rasen från jaktklass. I stora ringen blev Joy sedan BIS4 jakt!
Rasdomare: Mr David Shields

A day trip to Fauske, Norway gave Stanegate Jump for Joy ”Joy” BOB, her first Norwegian CAC another CACIB and also the jubilee CAC that the Norwegian Kennel club is giving out this year when they are celebrating 125 years. Judge was Vanja Sliwa, Norway that dictated a critique full of breed characteristics. I add the free translation here below for you that can’t understand norwegian.

”2,5 years old. Excellent type, well balanced with excellent expression of sex. Powerful head with good width. Could wish for a little more defined stop. Good strength in muzzle. Dark eyes with an intelligent expression. Long, well placed ears. Excellent neck and topline. Low placed tail. Lovely, well defined forchest. Ribs with good depth, could wish for a little more barrel shape. Well angulated behind with low hooks. Nice bone structure and big paws. Tight, nice curls. Excellent color. Moves with classic, rolling motions. Well presented”
