IWS festival!

Innan vi ens hunnit landa efter de nhelt fantastiska dagen i Helsingfors så bar det iväg mot Sverige och Norrköping för en intensiv sista semestervecka som bestod av såväl släktträff som djurparksbesök förutom den efterlängtade IWS festivalen som kom till stånd under våren efter att det uppdagades att Norrköpingsutställningen hade kontrakterat Diane Steward-Ritchie. Här hade vi fått ihop hela 16 IWS, helt otroligt! Mer om detta kommer framöver, nu bara lite om hur det gick för våra hundar.

Minst gick faktiskt längst då Jocose Swish Swosh blev BIM med Nordic cert, Nordic Junior cert och cert med en ålder av 9 månader och 15 dagar!
Jocose Taste of Paradise – E,2 CK, 3e bästa hane. Så otroligt roligt att ni kom upp för att delta med Hamlet!

Tikarna var övervägande fler och här var det Splinter som återigen visade framtassarna, 4e bästa tik fint visad av husse (jag visste väl att han kunde) med Nordic veteran cert och BIR veteran.

Med ett så fint deltagande antal egenuppföda så blev det även en uppfödargrupp där Hamlet, Pax, Våfflan och Pea deltog och tildelades 1, HP – så kul att vår första uppfödargrupp bestod av hundar från alla 3 kullar vi haft!

Before we had even caught our breath after the absolutely amazing day in Helsinki, it was off to Sweden and Norrköping for an intense final holiday week filled with both a family gathering and a zoo visit, not to mention the long-awaited IWS festival that came together in spring after it was revealed that the Norrköping show had contracted Diane Steward-Ritchie. We managed to gather a total of 16 IWS — absolutely incredible! More about that will follow later, but here’s a little update on how our dogs did.

The youngest actually went the furthest, as Jocose Swish Swosh took BOS with Nordic CAC, Nordic Junior CAC, and CAC at just 9 months and 15 days old!
Jocose Taste of Paradise – Excellent, 2nd with CK, 3rd best male. So incredibly grateful that you came up to take part with Hamlet!

The bitches were in majority, and here it was Splinter who once again shone, placing 4th best bitch, beautifully handled by Janne (I knew he could do it), with Nordic Veteran CAC and BOB Veteran.

With such a great number of our own bred dogs participating, we also entered a breeder’s group with Hamlet, Pax, Våfflan, and Pea, which was awarded 1st prize with Honorary Prize — so much fun that our very first breeder’s group consisted of dogs from all three litters we’ve had!

Circut Show

WDS började med rasspecial och otroliga 21 IWS var anmälda för Laurent Pichard med hundar från flera länder, helt fantastiskt att få se så många på en och samma gång det är verkligen inget som händer ofta oavsett vilket land man befinner sig i.
Joy vann championklassen och blev tredje bästa tik i en stark tikklass och Splinter, som enda veteran för dagen, fick sitt andra finska veterancert, BIR veteran samt den fina titeln Helsinki Circuit Veteran Winner-25, HeCVW-25!

WDS started with the breed specialty and an incredible 21 IWS were entered for Laurent Pichard, with dogs from several countries — absolutely amazing to see so many at the same time, it’s truly something that doesn’t happen often no matter which country you’re in.
Joy won the champion class and placed third best bitch in a strong female class, and Splinter, as the only veteran of the day, earned her second Finnish veteran certificate, BOB veteran, as well as the title Helsinki Circuit Veteran Winner-25, HeCVW-25!

WDS

Några dagar senare var det dags att kliva upp tidigt och rulla mot Helsingfors igen, denna dag var det själva WDS för IWS och även här hade vi en hog siffra med 27 anmälda i rasen. Domare för dagen var Harry Tast, Finland.
Där var 4 tikar anmälda i championklassen och Joy placerades på en hedrande andra plats och fick sedemera R-CACIB. Splinter däremot slog på stort med BIR veteran, cert och således finsk utställningschampion (FIN UCH), det tredje och sista veterancertet vilket ger titeln finsk veteranutställningschampion (FIN VUCH) samt titeln Veteran Världs Vinnare-25 som grädde på moset!

A few days later it was time to get up early and head back to Helsinki, this time for the actual WDS for IWS, where we once again had a strong entry with 27 dogs in the breed. The judge of the day was Harry Tast from Finland.
There were 4 bitches entered in the champion class, and Joy earned an honorable second place and later received the R-CACIB. Splinter, however, went all out with BOB veteran, CAC, and thus became Finnish Show Champion (FI CH), receiving her third and final veteran certificate which gives the title Finnish Veteran Show Champion (FIN VCH), along with the cherry on top — the title Veteran World Winner-25 (VWW-25)!

Another successful weekend!

After yet another successful weekend, we’re back home again. Lovely little Vega, Jocose Pleasure You Can’t Measure, was awarded another CAC and a CACIB in the breed ring, this time under Timmo Mustonen from Finland. Not bad, considering she’s not even two years old yet. Grandmother Splinter, SEV-19 SV-22 SE U(u)CH NO UCH CIE DKCH(u) NORDIC CH, ViV-25 Foulby Chip Off the Old Block, received the veteran CACIB and went Best Veteran of Breed, then was awarded BOS against a Finnish-bred male with the same sire as Vega. Splinter continued to shine as she once again placed in the big ring, this time as BIS 2 Veteran.

We’re so proud of our girls and their achievements. Both Vega and Splinter showed themselves from their very best side in the ring, and it’s a joy to present them. Thanks to everyone who cheered us on over the weekend and to the judges for their kind words about our dogs.

Efter ytterligare en framgångsrik helg är vi hemma igen. Fina lilla Vega, Jocose Pleasure you Can’t Measure, förärades ytterligare ett cert och ett CACIB i rasringen, denna gång för Timmo Mustonen från Finland. Inte illa med tanke på att hon inte fyllt två år ännu. Mormor Splinter,

SEV-19 SV-22 SE U(u)CH NO UCH CIE DKCH(u) NORDIC CH, ViV-25 Foulby Chip Off the Old Block, fick veteran CACIB och blev BIR veteran för att sedan tilldelas BIM mot en finskfödd hane med samma pappa som Vega. Splinter fortsatte sedan att glänsa då hon åter igen placerade sig i stora ringen, denna gång som BIS2 veteran.

Vi är så stolta över våra tjejer och deras prestationer. Både Vega och Splinter visade sig från sin allra bästa sida i ringen och det är en fröjd att få visa upp dem. Tack till alla som hejade på oss under helgen och till domarna för fina ord om våra hundar.

I’m absolutely on cloud nine!
My beloved queen, Splinter — SEV-19 SV-22 SE U(u)CH NO UCH CIE DKCH(u) NORDIC CH, ViV-25 Foulby Chip Off The Old Block at Stanegate — had an unforgettable weekend at the NORDIC dog show in Vännäs, Sweden.

She started off strong by going Best of Breed and Best of Breed Veteran under judge Eva Nielsen, and at the same time she was awarded both the Nordic CAC and the Nordic Veteran CAC. From there, she continued to shine — taking Best in Show 1 Veteran (BIS1) under Per Kristian Andersen, and then placing an impressive BIG4 under Tuula Savolainen in a highly competitive group.

I’m so incredibly proud of my girl – what a weekend to remember!

Min älskade aristokrat Splinter — SEV-19 SV-22 SE U(u)CH NO UCH CIE DKCH(u) NORDIC CH, ViV-25 Foulby Chip Off The Old Block at Stanegate — hade en oförglömlig helg på den årliga utställningen i Vännäs, Sverige.

Hon började med att bli Bäst i rasen och Bäst i rasen veteran under domare Eva Nielsen, och tilldelades samtidigt både Nordic cert och Nordic Veteran cert. Därifrån fortsatte hon sin segerresa och tog hem Best in Show 1 Veteran (BIS1) under Per Kristian Andersen, innan hon placerade sig som BIG4 under Tuula Savolainen i en mycket konkurrenskraftig grupp.

Jag är så otroligt stolt över min tjej – vilken helg att minnas!

Vinstrik helg! / Successful weekend!

Alltså, vilken helg det har varit! Inte nog med att det gick riktigt bra i rasringen – mina fantastiska flickor lyckades dessutom placera sig i hela fyra av sex möjliga finaler. Jag svävar fortfarande på moln! Jag har visat fyra olika hundar under helgen, så det har minst sagt varit fullt upp.

Det har krävts fokus, planering och en hel del pälsjobb men det har gåt bra trots allt. Att få stå där med hundar jag är så stolt över och se dem prestera på topp, det är verkligen en känsla som inte går att jämföra med något annat. Stort tack till alla som hejat, hjälpt till bakom kulisserna och gratulerat. Nu laddar vi om för nästa äventyr!

What a weekend it’s been! Not only did things go really well in the breed ring – my amazing girls also managed to place in no less than four out of six possible finals. I’m still on cloud nine! I’ve shown four different dogs over the weekend, so it’s definitely been a busy one.

It’s taken focus, planning, and quite a bit of coat work, but everything came together in the end. Standing there with dogs I’m so proud of and seeing them perform at their best is truly a feeling like no other. A big thank you to everyone who cheered us on, helped behind the scenes, and sent congratulations. Now it’s time to recharge for the next adventure!

Tre dagar i Roskilde – vilken fantastisk helg!
Efter en ”liten” bilresa på 317 mil kommer vi hem med 3 nya championtitlar (två stycken dansk utställningschampion och en NORDIC champion) och 2 vinnartitlar (Roskildevinnare-25 och Viking Vinnare-25) att lägga till i samlingen. En oförglömlig upplevelse – och vi funderar redan på nästa resa!

Three days in Roskilde – what a fantastic weekend!
After a “little” road trip of 3,170 km, we’re coming home with 3 brand new champion titles (two Danish show champions and a NORDIC champion) and 2 winner titles (Roskilde Winner-25 and Viking Winner-25) to add to the list. Truly an unforgettable adventure – and we’re already thinking about the next trip!

Muscular, short loin, well-set tail, well-angulated and muscular hindquarters. Parallel movement, slightly rounded when viewed from the side. Correct small curls, though could be slightly more oily. Well presented with excellent temperament.”

We attended the club show in Solna where I had entered 3 off my girls, all behaving just brilliant and was great representatives for the breed. Our junior girl Jocose Focus on the Good “Riva” was best junior and ended the day as BIS 2 junior! CIE SE U(u)CH NO UCH SE W-19 SEW-22 Foulby Chip off the Block “Splinter” was second best bitch right after her daughter SE U(u)CH NO UCH FIN UCH Stanegate Jump for Joy “Joy” who won best of breed from working class. in the main ring Joy was then awarded the BIS 4 working!

Happy to be back home after 2400 km on the roads with 12 dogs. Some miss happening but we took care of it and it resulted in that me and my friend had 3 successful show days, first two days with her Siberian huskies and then this fabulous finishing day with my curly girls!

Nu är vi tacksamma över att vara tillbaka hemma. 240mil på vägarna med 12 hundar är tufft. Vi hade endel krångel efter vägen men överlag gick det bra och allt kunde vi ordna själva. Så i slutänden kan jag och min vän nu se tillbaka på 3 framgångsrika utställningdsdagar, först två dagar med hennes Siberian huskies och sedan denna underbara dag med härliga resultat för mina krulliga flickor!

First outdoor show of the year and it took place at our hometown, I had decided to show both SEV-19 SV-22 SE U(u)CH NO UCH CIE Foulby Chip Off The Old Block at Stanegate and her daughter Stanegate Jump for Joy. Joy is still young, just 2 years of age, so I was surprised, but really happy that the judge Roxana Opris, Denmark, decided to place Joy as BOB with CAC making her mother Splinter second best bitch. In the main ring she was then shortlisted in group 8 (retrievers – flushing dogs – water dogs) but without placement in the end. So proud off my girls and their results, it was an excellent gift on mother’s day that we celebrated today here in Sweden.

Första utomhus utställningen för i år tog plats i vår hemstad och jag hade bestämt att ställa både SEV-19 SV-22 SE U(u)CH NO UCH CIE Foulby Chip Off The Old Block at Stanegate och hennes dotter Stanegate Jump for Joy. Joy är fortfarande ung med sina 2 år, så jag blev riktigt förvånad, men glad att domaren Roxana Opris, Danmark, bestämde sig för att placera Joy som BIR med cert vilket gjorde hennes mamma Splinter till andra bästa tik. I stora ringen så var Joy sedan uttagen men inte placerad i grupp 8 finalen. Så stolt över mina tjejer och deras resultat, en utmärkt gåva på morsdag som vi firar idag här i Sverige.
