BIS (puppy) 2!/BIS 2 i Valp II

Fira was showing her way to the top yesterday, she was selected as runer-up in the BIS ring for puppies 6-9 months of age. I wasn’t able to show her myself because I was working as ring steward so I’m really impressed with her to make it so far with someone she has only seen a few times before.

Judge was Gitte Finnich Pedersen, Denmark and the show was held by the Swedish spaniel and retriever club in Boden.

”Pretty well developed bitchpuppy. Feminim hed with good expression, wish to have more filling in the muzzle. Well developed chest. Some what soft in the paws and not completely stable in the topline. Lovely angulation in hindquarters. Especially promising. ”

Fira stegade sin väg upp mot toppen igår på SSRKs utställning i Boden. Hon knep BIS 2 valp i ringen för valpar mellan 6-9 månader endast slagen av en golden valp. Eftersom jag själv jobbade som ringsekreterare så ställde jag inte ut henne själv så att ta sig så långt med någon som hon bara träffat några få gånger tidigare är riktigt bra gjort!

Stort tack till Gitte Finnich Pedersen, Danmark som dömde Fira både i ras och BIS ringen samt till Birger som visade upp henne så proffessionellt!

”Ganska välutvecklad tikvalp. Feminimt huvud med gott uttryck önskar en aning mer utfyllt nosparti. Välutvecklad bröstkorg. Något mjuk i tassarna och inte stabil i överlinjen. Härligt vinklad bak. Särskilt lovande.”

Look at the happy tail! / Se på den lyckliga svansen!

We have started the training with dummies and bird wings and Fira seems to like it alot now when she has gotten a hang of it!

Jag har startat jaktträningen lite mer på allvar med dummies och fågelvingar, Fira verkar uppskatta det nu när hon förstått att det går ut på att hitta, hämta och lämna det funna till matte.

Premiere show!/Utställningsdebut!

Fira become BOB-puppy yesterday, the show was held by a sighthound club but the judge was Saija Juutilainen from Finland. So even thought the show was unofficial I was able to show her to a judge that are authorized on Irish water spaniels.

”6,5 months. Nice bitchpuppy. Well developed, well bodied with nice proportions. Feminine head. Good expression. Strong bite and underjaw. Promising topknot. Good neck and topline. Typical tail. Promising body mass and shape. Hint of overangulation in the back and a little loose in the middle hand. Rich color. Promising coat. Excellent temperament. Moves with good  long stride and enough roll in body. Still a bit narrow in hindlegs.”

Fira blev BIR-valp igår på sin första utställning. Det var norrbottens Vinthundsklubb som annordnade men domare var Saija Juutilainen från Finland som är auktoriserad att dömma Irländsk vattenspaniel.

”6,5 mån trevlig tikvalp. Välkroppad med fina proportioner. Feminimt huvud. Bra uttryck. Starkt bett och underkäke. Lovande ”topknot”. Bra hals och överlinje. Typisk svans. Lovande kropsvolym och form. Aning övervinklad bak och lite lösa mellanhänder. Djup färg. Lovande päls. Utm temperament. Rör sig med bra steglängd och tillräckligt rullande kropp. Ännu lite trång bak.”

Warm day/Varm dag

Since today was a nice and warm day we took the dogs down to the nearby pier/beach. Not one to miss the opportunity we brought the camera along as well.

Eftersom det var varmt och skönt idag så bestämde vi oss för en tur ner till den lilla hamnen som finns vid oss. Givetvis var kameran med oss.

I can also mention that the male for Nemi is chosen, now we just have to wait. Keep and eye on the ”litters” page, I will update it in a week or two (hopfully)

A 3 hour walk, Icecream and a sunny spring day. I think Ruska have liked her birthday so far, even though she wasn’t allowed to swim in the river.

It’s Ruskas 7th birthday today, she will celebrate it with something extra special to eat and a long walk in the sunny, warm weather. Maybe she even can find some water to play in…
