Crufts 10-13 March 2016

We dog people must be a bit crazy (or is it just me?). I have always been dreaming of Crufts and that I one day will be able to go there, well, this year the day, or rather the days, came. So I paid my tickets, and 3 flight later I was at Birmingham airport!
I enjoyed watching and feeling some of the dogs I just have seen in pictures, I went shopping in the marketplace with 400+ trade exhibitors and I went to see the breed stand and of course I had the tastiest fish and chips ever!
This year was the 125th show at Crufts and I hope I will be able to go there again, hopefully I will then be able to stay for more then 2 days…

Vi hundmänniskor måste vara lite tokiga (eller är det bara jag?). Jag har alltid drömt om Crufts och att jag en dag skulle kunna åka dit. Så i år så kom den dagen, elelr snarare dagarna. Jag betalde mina biljetter och 3 flyg enare så landade jag på Birminghams flygplats!

Jag hade jättetrevligt och såg och kände på flera hundar som jag tidigare bara sett på bild, jag shoppade och tittade i 400+ montrar, jag var förbi rasmontern och självklar å passade jag på att äta den godaste portionen med fish and chips jag någonsin ätit!

Detta år var det dessutom den 125e utställningen av Crufts och jag hoppas att jag kommer få möjlighet att åka dit igen, och att jag förhoppningsvis kan stanna mer än 2 dagar då…

I don’t think I have shown the pictures from when our daughter Elina joined me at an obedience competition in a nearby city, and even if I have shown them I think they are the most adorable ones and well worth showing again! A big, kind dog and her little, proud owner. I was the one to go inside to compete but then I let Elina take care of the things outside the ring, including going up to recieve the prizes and get the applauds for well deserved work, you should have seen the ways her eyes sparkled!

My hope is that we in the future would share this passion of dogs, and especial the love of the Irish water spaniel so we could spend our weekends on different competitions and shows…

Jag tror inte att jag har visat bilderna från när vår dotter Elina kom med till en lydnadstävling i en närliggande stad, och även om jag har visat dem så är de helt underbara och väl värda att visas upp igen. En stor, snäll hund och hennes lilla, stolta ägare. Det ar jag som tävlade den dagen men resten av delarna utanför ringen fick Elina ta hand om, bland annat att ta emot priserna för tävlingens nästbästa hund och få applåder för väl utfört arbet. Ni skulle sett hur hennes ögon glittrade!

Min förhoppning är att vi i framtiden kommer dela passionen för hundar, och då speciellt kärleken till den irländsk vattenspanieln så vi tillsammans kunde åka på tävlingar och utställningar…

Today is Baron Wolf Lady Wolfbaron ”Nemis” birthday, and this year she would have turned 10 years old. But that’s not how it was ment to be, we lost her nearly 1 year ago.

Little cute dog, this is for you!

Idag är det Baron Wolf Lady Wolfbaron ”Nemis” födelsedag, och detta år skulle hon ha fyllt 10 år. Men det var inte så det var meningen att bli, då hon fick vingar för snart ett år sedan.

Working dog

Have I mentioned that an irish water spaniels are perfect to almost everything? Or what do you think about this, a way to have the walk, some extra exercise for the dog and fun for the child at the same time?

Har jag nämnt att irländsk vattenspaniel är perfekt till nästan allt? Eller vad säger du om att få en promenad, extra träning för hunden och roligt för barnet på samma gång?

When the regular tracks starting point was full of cars when we arrived I decided to go to the beach instead. That was a super decision, since we nearly don’t have any snow right now it’s was just perfect for walking. Maybe 10cm of snow and when we walked on the sandy beach it wasn’t that slippery like almost every other places is right now. Will have to come back soon..

När vår vanliga slinga redan hade fullt av bilar vid startpunkten så beslutade jag mig för att vi tar stranden istället. Det visade sig vara ett superbeslut, eftersom vi knappt har någon snö så ar det helt perfekt för promenader. Ca 10cm snö och dessutom så var det inte sådär glashalt som det är nästan överallt när vi gick på sandstranden. Måste dit igen snart…
